Hey there! My name is Andre, and I am a UX designer and storyteller.
My story begins in an unassuming suburb east of the pristine San Francisco Bay. This is where we meet me: a first-generation Taiwanese American named Andre Huang, who spent his childhood playing make-believe with his buddies and drawing imaginary worlds in the margins of his homework assignments.
I worked for 4 years as a freelance illustrator, animator, video editor, and storyboard artist, but I wanted to find a way to apply my skills to more practical everyday issues. This is when I discovered the world of UX Design and began my apprenticeship at Designlab's UX Academy in 2023, where I worked with mentors and peers to develop the very case studies available to view on this website.
I have a passion for entertainment, media, language-learning, education, and travel; and I hope to contribute to those industries and their consumers in the best ways that I can. Guided by an open-mind and years of storytelling experience, I use my design skills and animation know-how to build apps and websites that improve the lives of users of all backgrounds, while making their lives just a little bit brighter.
